Mangroves

Approximately 10 kilometers from Manuel Antonio lies ‘Isla Damas‘, an estuary that houses incredible mangroves. These mangroves are teeming with swamp-like wildlife for explorers of all ages to enjoy. Visitors can either kayak, paddleboard, or cruise on a canopied boat throughout the mangroves to experience all the incredible wildlife. Averaging around US$60 per person, companies offer all-inclusive packages that are perfect for the whole family. On these tours some common animals that you will see are: iguanas, sloths, caimans, boa constrictors, anteaters, numerous birds and amphibians, and white-faced Capuchin monkeys. Some of these tours are even aimed at first-hand interaction with the monkeys!
